Adjournment

An adjournment is when a court hearing or trial is postponed or delayed until a later date. This can happen for a number of reasons, such as a request from one of the parties involved, or if there are issues that need to be resolved before the hearing can take place.

If an adjournment is granted in your personal injury claim, it means that the court hearing will not take place on the scheduled date and will be rescheduled for a later time. This can be frustrating, but it can also provide more time for your solicitor to prepare your case and gather any necessary evidence to support your claim.

It’s important to note that adjournments can sometimes lead to delays in receiving compensation, but they can also ensure that your case is heard fairly and that all parties have had sufficient time to prepare their case.
